We are looking for enthusiastic Library Relief Assistants who will contribute towards the delivery of a flexible and responsive service, working as required at different library sites across the city. This will involve evening and weekend working and could also include delivering promotions and activities with the service area and partners, both on and off site.
You will need to demonstrate previous experience of working with the public and you must have 4 GCSEs or an appropriate equivalent qualification, including literacy and numeracy.
It is essential you have a flexible approach to work, often being asked to cover at short notice.
Skills and experience required include:-
- Experience of working within an operational environment which includes experience of dealing with the public on a face to face basis.
- A commitment to a high level of customer service which can be demonstrated through previous work or volunteering experience.
- Experience of using and applying IT systems
